Perhaps it is an American religion but it certainly has universal appeal and has grown well multinationally including UK.David Balfourhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12099160562774064281noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7154359965221795553.post-21727106512034665292017-05-05T22:47:15.471-07:002017-05-05T22:47:15.471-07:00@Don - There is much in that - but it is a long wa...@Don - There is much in that - but it is a long way from full engagement with a church. I am naturally a loner but I know a peace when I do pray with others even saying a brief Our Father or Grace at dinner.Donnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7154359965221795553.post-12214231451701036382017-05-03T04:17:17.526-07:002017-05-03T04:17:17.526-07:00That’s illustrious company you’ve put me in there,...That’s illustrious company you’ve put me in there, Bruce! But seriously I do think there are a lot of people nowadays who would love to find true church standing for a real spiritual religion but can’t because, as you so rightly say, ‘most English churches with historical roots are liberalised and secularised.’ That sums up my feelings on this matter.

But perhaps in order to develop our own spiritual sensibility from within this is a necessary part of the process of divinization. Little external support and no community to sustain us means we must work harder if we want to make the grade. We must work harder but might make correspondingly greater progress. Or we might not but the opportunity is there.
William Wildbloodhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13231219533755925897noreply@blogger.com
