A million minds awaken

If things happened the way I want and believe that they could happen, millions of people would (simultaneously) develop a direct and personal knowledge of Jesus; discern the hopes and wishes of the Creator, and be sustained by a freely-chosen, self-motivated faith.

The millions would, each in millions of ways per day, change for the better; they would strive Not to do evil; and would instead strive to want, think and do Good.

There would then instantly be tremendous transformation in the way 'things work' - or, especially, do Not work. At present mass thinking and behaviour are trivially easy to manipulate for the Establishment - via the mass media and the mass of officialdom. People's minds are controlled by what is put-into-them by the media/ advertising/ PR; and this is amplified by social media and interpersonal gossip, and the interlocking single system of bureaucracy.

People are given the topic of the day - nothing is too trivial, truth is no obstacle - and the mass will duly comply and think, talk about, get angry/ afraid about, and respond to... whatever.

Yet with a mass awakening; suddenly, in billions of ways, people en masse would be un-predictable, un-controllable.

Yet Not 'randomly' unpredictable (such that it would average-out) but in a deeply coordinated, directed way. Yet also this coordination would come from within each person by their link wit the divine: the broad but (over time, despite errors) tenacious alignment of each individual to God's creative goals would align any number of millions without need for any external structure of control.

The simple totalitarian system would almost-instantly break - within hours this could be seen, within days it would be undeniable; the relationship between action and effect would be broken - outcomes would become radically unpredictable. Nothing could be done to stop this - because each individual would be an autonomous and self-motivating unit of Goodness, integrity, courage, love. No clamp-down could stop it because the mechanism of coordination is invisible, immaterial, acts instantly and over any distance...

All this sounds largely negative, and at the level systems of of social organisation it would be. The positivity would come from a multitude of individual acts - not from system changes. But the Good of any such changes is not, at the proper level of analysis, a material and this-worldly Good; but a spiritual Good. It is, indeed, perhaps most likely to happen when it becomes clear (with a flash of irresistable insight) that The System cannot, and does not wish to, deliver peace, prosperity, comfort and convenience - but is, instead, strategically engineering and implementing an endemic social state of universal, long-term, high-level fear and resentment.

Any such situation as this autonomous awakening of millions of minds cannot be imposed but only embraced - it is, indeed, the individual act of freedom and alliance with God that constitutes the situation. Top-down mechanisms can easily make matters work - but they cannot improve things.

Bottom-up, individual level, awakening and faith would certainly improve things - but these 'things' will be ultimate things; and the collapse of evil-intended strategies would surely be enough to collapse a great deal of Good, or at least essential-to-life, activity (that is, at least, the plan of evil, and always has been: apres moi le deluge... bring me down and you will bring the world crashing around your ears...).

But if/ when there is a mass and individual level awakening; then none of that will matter: the situation would, quite simply, be unstoppable - and (probably) nobody would ever understand (in this life) what had happened, what was happening, or why.

  1. Yes, I think that's exactly how it would happen. The Devil would still find a way to work though. Probably through a kind of 'elder brother' syndrome, as in the parable of the prodigal son. "Look at all these Johnny-come-latelies! I was awake all through the dark times and no-one went round patting me on the back. These people don't know what it's like to struggle. They were on the other side when I lost my job because of my Christianity." And so on and so forth. That's how I think he'd try to undermine a mass awakening. When the awakening happens maybe we'll need to be more on our guard than ever!

  2. As much as I would love for your vision to come true - I feel that it still lies far in the future.

It seems that Humanity will be required to face a fully realised global System of Evil before we are truly able to see it as a reflection of our own evil. We are not yet ready to look inwards. We see in the sinister new religions of climate change and third wave feminism that self-righteousness still reigns supreme, relentlessly focused on the perceived sins of others.

There is an awakening to the fact that world events are manipulated and that totalitarianism is almost upon us. That is happening right now. But one extreme often conjures up its opposite. To awaken to Christ will require a self-criticism that few seem ready to undertake.

  3. @M - I certainly don't think it is at all likely that there will be such an awakening as I describe. What I did want to clarify is that IF it were to happen, then rapid and radical change would occur - without the slightest need for political organisation, or even communication.

I also believe that - unless there is such an awakening, and probably even then - there will not be a 'far in the future'. I fully expect to see a global collapse with billions dying very rapidly - but I have no idea whether this will start today, or in another 25 years.

But as the population exceeds 7 billion on a planet that naturally sustains only a couple of billion max, with high level agriculture; as another billion of highly mutated, low intelligence, low conscientiousness, high impulsivity children will be arriving in the next couple of decades...

As the 'supply' of geniuses have dried up or been excluded, and as dishonest incompetence is deliberately favoured...

As the population are indoctrinated in fearful, resentful, hedonistic short-termism...

The 'materialist' situation is more precarious than it ever has been; and the global establishment are making no provision to solve underlying problems, and are indeed spreading chaos and making matters as bad as they dare.

The forces of demonic evil don't want collapse - rather, they want endemic chaos justifying yet further totalitarian mind-control; but at some point collapse will supervene willy nilly.

  4. I go along with Moonsphere. People have had opportunities to awaken many times. In the '60s for example and again in the '80s with the New Age movement. Both stalled and were far too easily sidetracked into the materialisation of spirituality. I think we probably have to drink the cup of our rebellion against God right down to the dregs before we wake up properly. There will be plenty of false awakenings as there have been in recent decades but unless the scales really fall from our eyes they will be still born.

There is increasing polarisation in the world now. This is not a good thing as it will create anger and hatred which is not a state for any kind of spiritual awakening, mass spiritual awakening anyway.

  5. Unfortunately, there is nothing in scripture to support a mass awakening before the coming of the Antichrist. Only after his seven year rule will there be an outpouring of the spirit, and people will turn to God. If we are in the end times now, and we are I think, we have only more apostasy to come until the Antichrist appears.

  6. @T - I don't think we will know what the prophecies mean exactly until after they have happened (that is usual) - plus, not all prophecies do happen, for one reason or another (varied reliability of sources, probably).

  7. With perfect knowledge and experience of God Satan was still able to pull 1/3 of Heaven to him. People, not having perfect knowledge or experience of God, far from it, I view the 2/3 fraction as a solid floor on the number, among the billions of people, who will be swept into the Kingdom of God willingly as He wraps things up here on this Earth.

  8. @Andrew - Since free will is real, and each moral person and life is unique, fractions are not appropriate. Probably one can only infer by personal, case by case discernment, and thta is not necessarily predictive.

However, on that basis there don't seem to be very many modern British people (that I know much about) who would want to go to life eternal in Heaven as described in the Fourth Gospel; and if they don't even want to go, they certainly wont.

  9. We'd really be in trouble if God were relying on the Fourth Gospel to bring in the End Time Harvest. But we are incredibly blessed that He's instead going to use His Glorious Church full of Mature Sons of God who will manifest Heaven on Earth. People will get the actual experience of God and Heaven (and love, joy and peace) rather than a description of it from which to make a decision.

  10. @Andrew - Well, really Are in trouble! Whichever way you look at it.

But it seems clear to me that, if ever we could rely on any particular church to lead us to salvation - each individual obediently following that lead, those days are gone.

  11. We don't see the Glorious Church because it hasn't emerged yet. But it will and when it does it will be unmistakable. Something new we've never seen or experienced before going back to Adam. It won't look like any church we're familiar with. Disciples transfigured like Jesus, communing with the Father one-to-one, growing limbs on the limbless, raising people from the dead who've been cremated, halting and reversing earthquakes, emptying out pysch wards, open visions of angels and Heaven, etc. It will be very compelling for even the most jaded moderns.

  12. There are, at any given time in this world, millions of awakened Christians.

They to not submit to tyranny, which is why they are killed by the thousands as a matter of course, and in their millions are mostly dropping out of the mainstream society and thus becoming invisible. To be really awake to Christ is to stop being concerned with impressing the world.

There are a few real Christians who, by God's grace (and for the purpose of extending it to others), are notorious enough in the world's eyes to allow many honestly spiritual seekers to see the miracle of living faith. But most are seen only by a few eyes, and many end their (often short) lives without being seen by any but the damned who hate the miracle and wish only to destroy it.

But the power of faith is not dependent on the external senses, while God can use the faith of a saint as a beacon to draw others to look upon Christ and live, that is not the point of being a saint, the point is for that specific individual to witness the reality of Christ and live. God can show Himself through any number of other miracles, signs in Heaven and Earth, sudden stirrings of the slumbering soul, even by causing profound truths to be spoken by the wicked or the outright evil.

All that matters is that His child has a willing heart, eyes to see, and ears to hear.

  13. "There are, at any given time in this world, millions of awakened Christians." - indeed - but I meant in England.

  14. "And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do?

"And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them. And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha."

Well, I know not but that there aren't many mortals left to serve the cause of Christ in England these days, and the fact is that, considering the departed on the other side among the forces implies facing that one's service alongside them may involve laying down mortal life as well (or at least some trappings of mortal success).

But have no fear, it is the enemy that have walked into the kill-box because of their arrogant delusion that the powers of Heaven are of no consequence.
